Next at Concerts in the Park 2009
Groton – Begin your July Fourth weekend with music. The Cartells, a local favorite band for more than 20 years, will be featured next at the” Concerts in the Park 2009” series on Friday, July 3, at 6:30 p.m. The band will be playing jazz, swing, rhythm and blues, and popular music of all styles.
The “Concerts in the Park 2009” series is held in Washington Park in the City of Groton and is co-sponsored and co-produced by Groton Utilities and the City of Groton Parks and Recreation Department.
Next on the schedule is The Black Burns, a classic rock ‘n roll band, who will perform Friday, July 10.

The concerts are designed to be especially appealing to families for a fun, inexpensive night out. Spectators are encouraged to bring a picnic supper, since all the concerts will be held during the early evening hours. The City of Groton Little League also provides concession service. The concert site also has sufficient room on the basketball courts for dancing.
