On Thursday, June 4, six downtown Mystic art galleries will host the monthly Mystic Art in the Evening gallery stroll.
The free stroll features a wide array of artwork and gallery environments for the local after-hours crowd and visitors. In June, participating galleries are expecting several hundred visitors, due to the opening reception for the Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts 98th Annual Exhibition, which is being hosted that evening at the Mystic Arts Center. Participants can stroll at their leisure, socialize, and get a taste of the diversity of arts in Mystic.
“We love the extra opportunity to feature local and regional artists during the art strolls,” says Karen Barthelson, Executive Director of MAC.
Stroll hours are 6pm to 8pm, and are held the first Thursday of every month. Printed maps of the stroll are available at participating galleries.
