New Orleans Connection Plays
Next for City Cabaret 2010
GROTON - Andy Sherwood’s New Orleans Connection will be featured next in the City Cabaret 2010 concert series. This four piece group is known for its New Orleans’ style jazz. The ensemble features Andy Sherwood on the clarinet, Ian Frenkel at the piano, Mark McCormick on the string bass and Tom Briggs on the drums.
The concert is Sunday, January 10, 2010. All concerts are held in the City of Groton Auditorium on Sundays at 3:00 p.m. through March.
The City Cabaret concert series is co-sponsored and co-produced by Groton Utilities and the City of Groton Parks and Recreation Department
The OBrien Strings, a classical trio, will be featured February 7, 2010.
Jack Madry, jazz pianist, will end the concert series on March 7, 2010.
Dessert and coffee will be available for purchase from the Fitch High School Alcohol and Drug Free Party Committee.
There is no entrance fee, and no alcohol is allowed.
All concerts are in the auditorium in the City of Groton Municipal Building at 295 Meridian Street. Take Exit 87 off I-95. Turn right at the first light. The concert venue is a low level brick building on the left.
